Lectures décoloniales is an academic research project at UQAM that takes the form of an evolving bibliography and a series of thematic workshops dedicated to exploring the decolonization of knowledge.

the project’s visual identity draws inspiration from the world of books and libraries: stacks of volumes, rows of shelves, the density of knowledge, and the continuous growth of learning.

The concept translates the idea of a collective construction of knowledge, where each book, each contribution, adds to the whole like another volume in an ever-growing stack. The aesthetic relies on modular, layered forms that evoke both the stability of accumulated knowledge and the dynamic movement of ongoing research.

The identity aims to convey a critical spirit—one that seeks to rethink structures of knowledge, question established canons, and create space for multiple voices.
